Congratulations UMass Astronomy Class of 2024
It has been my great pleasure to co-advise the graduating UMass Astronomy Class of 2024. I have had these young scholars in at least two, in many cases three, classes over the last four years. They are a smart and resilient group of students, starting remotely amid the pandemic and only stepping foot on campus for the first time in their sophomore year. Among these students, I also advised two seniors in undergraduate honors theses this year (Seamus McNulty and Zachary Webb) and a unique science writing independent research project (Moiz Khalil).
To the entire UMass Astronomy Class of 2024 — You were. You are. UMASS. I cannot wait to follow your successes and do hope that you will all keep in touch. Congratulations, graduates!
