View of Solar Eclipse 2024 from Colchester, Vermont

The view of the 2024 total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 from Colchester, Vermont was spectacular! Gathered with family in the backyard of my brother’s house, we absorbed the full 2 hour experience. As the eclipse approached totality, we all noticed how the temperature dramatically cooled down and the bugs started coming out with a vengeance. This was my first experience of totality and it was a remarkable sight to behold — something to experience, putting aside all technology. Historically, the weather on this day is cloudy 83% of the time near Burlington, Vermont. How lucky are we to have some of the most spectacular viewing conditions in the country?
